Install the browser extension

The SUFS Tracker browser extension (Chrome and Edge on a computer) connects the tracker with the SUFS reimbursement portal: your requests come into the tracker, and the portal's form fills from an expense. See SUFS requests and the portal helper for what it does, and Privacy for what it reads and where it sends it.

Which one

  • Light: no tracker of its own. For a tracker page on a website (this one, for example) or a tracker server. The smallest download.
  • Bundled: also carries the tracker itself, which works offline with its data in the extension. It can also be set to a tracker page or a server instead.
  • Debug: the bundled one plus tools for mapping the SUFS portal. Not for everyday use.

Download

The latest release lists the three as .zip files.

Install

  1. Unzip the file into a folder you will keep (for example Documents/SUFS Tracker extension). Chrome loads the extension from that folder each time it starts, so don't delete or move it.
  2. Open chrome://extensions (in Edge: edge://extensions) and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked and choose the folder.
  4. Pin the extension from the puzzle-piece menu so its button stays in the toolbar.

The light version opens its options right away; set where your tracker is there (see Tell the extension where your tracker is).

Update

Download the new .zip, unzip it over the same folder (replacing the files), then click the circular reload arrow on the extension's card in chrome://extensions. Its settings and data stay.

Don't remove it to update

Removing the extension deletes everything it keeps, including the bundled tracker's data. Unzip over the folder instead. To move to another computer or browser, export your data first (Rules & settings → Your data file), or keep it in a data folder.
