Update the category list

The category tree is built from an export of the SUFS reimbursement form, produced with the category finder. When the form changes, replace the export and rebuild.

  1. Save the new export as data/catalog.json in the project checkout.

  2. Convert it:

    uv run sufs-tracker catalog

    The command reports how many categories and lines it found, and refuses to continue if two lines would share an id.

  3. Rebuild and redeploy: a new container image (the server regenerates its pages on start), and uv run sufs-tracker build for the standalone page if you host that separately.

Everyone's saved decisions are keyed by SUFS's own ids, so they survive a new export as long as SUFS keeps its ids.

What the export can and can't tell

The export is scoped to the account that produced it. It can show that a line is not offered under some programs, but lines that exist only for programs that account doesn't have won't be in it.
